Website development by people who know what happens after the “Buy” button

UpCommerce builds websites and e-shops for businesses in Greece that want customers from the internet, not just a “presence”. We are a performance marketing team: we have sent millions in advertising into other people’s sites and we know where the sale gets lost. Every site we build is designed for three things at once — to be found on Google and in AI answers, to turn the visitor into a customer, and to be measurable.

What makes the difference

A site is judged by what it brings, not by how it looks in the presentation

Most websites are built by people who will never see them work: they deliver and leave. We are the ones who then have to send visitors in and answer for the result. That is why we build differently.

To be found

Every page answers a question your customer actually asks. Structured data, FAQ, internal links, sitemap and llms.txt from day one — not “SEO later”.

To convert

The path from the first screen to the form or the checkout is designed with data from hundreds of campaigns: what the visitor reads, where they stop, what makes them trust.

To be measured

Tracking for Google, Meta and analytics set up correctly before the site opens. If it is not measured from the start, the first quarter of advertising is lost to guesswork.

What we build

Three types of project, one logic

From a professional’s one-page site to an e-shop with thousands of products. The size changes, the way of thinking does not.

Corporate websites and service pages

For service businesses, B2B, clinics, offices, tourism. One page per service, written so that an AI model can quote it as it is when someone asks “who does X in Athens”. Forms that send and do not store unnecessary data.

E-shops

WooCommerce or Shopify, with the things that decide the sale: clean product data, filters that make sense, a checkout without obstacles, Greek-market payments and shipping, and feeds ready for Skroutz and Google Shopping. The e-shop is built to be advertised, not just to open.

Rebuilding an existing site

The most frequent case: the site exists but does not deliver. We keep what works (URLs, rankings, content with traffic), rewrite structure and copy, and set up redirects so the change does not cost you on Google.

Bilingual sites

Greek and English as two proper versions with hreflang, not a mechanical translation. For businesses that sell or host outside Greece too — and see Gateway to Greece for foreign brands entering the Greek market.

How we work a build

1 · What the site has to do

Which customer you want, what they search for, what convinces them, how they will find you. From this comes the page map — and it is often smaller than the one you had in mind.

2 · Copy and structure before design

We first write what every page will say, in the terms your customer uses, and then design it around the text. The opposite produces pretty boxes with “Lorem ipsum” that never fill in properly.

3 · Implementation with the technical means

Speed, mobile, structured data, hreflang if bilingual, tracking, security, GDPR. Not “extras” — the 40% of the work that is not visible.

4 · Launch and first measurements

Check of every URL, sitemap submission, first measurement on Google and in the AI models. We hand over with instructions and, if you want, continue with advertising or monthly monitoring.

Two examples

Two very different sites, with the same logic behind them

01

upcommerce.gr — our own site

Thirty-seven pages in two languages, rebuilt from scratch during 2026. Every service page has its own question, a table of contents, an FAQ with structured data, and internal links to every other service. The migration was done with a complete redirect map, with no loss of rankings. It is measured every month with Epoptes: in October 2026 the brand appears in 75% of checks across ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini and in 100% of Google AI Overviews.

02

marilenakiskipeli.gr — psychotherapist, Athens

A one-page site for a mental health professional. Here the priority was trust and discretion: no cookie banner because there is no tracker, fonts hosted on the same server, a contact form that sends an email and stores nothing — because health data is a special category under GDPR. One block of structured data, a frequently asked questions section, and copy written for the person reading it at a difficult moment.

The client e-shops in our case studies were built by third parties; our work there is their advertising and growth, and it shows what we ask of a site in order for it to perform.

After the build: the site is the beginning, not the end

SEO and GEO

The same team continues with content that answers new questions and with visibility in AI answers — measured every month, not promised.

Advertising

For e-shops the Growth Partner Program, for businesses without a cart Bespoke DMS. We already know how the site we built measures.

Automation and AI

Forms that sort themselves, product content with rules, customer service based on your own documents. See what AI implementation includes.

Human support

Changes, new pages, updates. We do not leave you with a ticket system — you talk to the person who built the site.

Tell us what your site has to do

In the 30-minute intro call we will not show you templates. We will ask which customer you want and how they find you today — and tell you whether you need a new site or just better pages on the existing one.

Frequently asked questions about website development

What does website development by UpCommerce include?

Structure and copy, design, implementation, technical SEO and structured data, tracking for advertising and analytics, forms that work, and handover with instructions. For an e-shop we add product data, payments, shipping, and the connection to Skroutz and advertising feeds. We start from what the site has to do for your business, not from a template.

How much does a website or e-shop cost?

It depends on scope: a single presentation page, a corporate site with many services and an e-shop with hundreds of products are three different jobs. After the 30-minute intro call you receive a written proposal with what is included, what is not, and the delivery time.

Which platform do you build websites on?

The one that fits the job: WordPress and WooCommerce for most corporate sites and e-shops, Shopify when ease of management matters most, or plain code when the site is small and has to be fast with no dependencies. The platform is a decision we take together, based on who will manage the site afterwards.

How long does a website take?

A presentation page in two to three weeks, a corporate site in four to six, an e-shop in six to ten, depending on how ready the copy, photos and product data are. The biggest delay in every project is the material, so we collect it first.

Will the website show up on Google and in ChatGPT?

The site is built with that goal from day one: every page answers a specific question, has structured data, FAQ and internal links, and the site has a sitemap and an llms.txt file. Showing up, however, is not a promise anyone can make — it is a result that gets measured. That is why Epoptes, the group’s platform, measures every month whether the business appears in AI answers.

Can you rebuild my existing site without losing my rankings?

Yes, and it is the most common case. We keep a map of every old URL, set up 301 redirects for anything that changes, carry over titles and descriptions that work, and check after launch that every old address leads somewhere. That is how the upcommerce.gr redesign was done.

Do you also write the copy and provide the photos?

The copy, yes — it is part of the build, because the structure of a page and its text are written together. For photos and video we work with your own material or with partner photographers, depending on the project.

What happens after delivery?

You get access, instructions and a short lesson so you can change copy and products yourself. If you want, the same team continues with SEO, advertising or monthly measurement — but it is not a condition. The site is yours, on your own hosting account.
