Skroutz Ads · certified Skroutz Partner Agency
Skroutz Ads: advertise where Greek shoppers already compare and buy
UpCommerce manages Skroutz Ads for online stores and brands: Sponsored Products, Brand Page, Video Ads, Category Sponsorship and Brand Discovery Ads. We were the first agency in Greece certified as a Skroutz Partner, and we run the ads together with Skroutz’s growth tools — because the position in the category brings the click, but price and delivery bring the order.
What Skroutz Ads are
Advertising inside Greece’s largest marketplace
Skroutz Ads are the paid placements inside Skroutz: sponsored products at the top of a category, category banners, brand pages, video and feed posts. Skroutz reports seven million unique visitors a month — people who come to compare and buy, not to pass the time.
Nobody scrolls Skroutz idly. They have already searched for the product and see prices and stores side by side. Advertising here does not create demand — it captures demand that exists, at the last step before the purchase.
Sponsored products lift you to the top of the category. From there, the user chooses by price, availability and delivery time. That is why Skroutz Ads do not work without the growth tools.
On Skroutz you see what each product cost and what it sold. That allows decisions that are harder on Google or Meta: which product deserves a position, which does not, and which loses the price battle no matter how much budget you add.
The ad formats
Sponsored Products, Brand Page, Video Ads — what each one does
Skroutz offers different formats for different goals, from selling today to building a brand inside the platform. The names are Skroutz’s; choosing and combining them is our job.
Sponsored Products
Sponsored products at the top of the category or the search results, charged per click. The format with the most direct link between budget and order — and the one running in most of the accounts we manage.
Category Sponsorship
Your banner in a category for a set period, in front of everyone browsing there. For brands that want share in a category or are launching a new line — not for single stores with a few products.
Brand Page & Brand Discovery Ads
A page with all the brand’s products inside Skroutz, and ads that show the brand the moment the user searches for related products. For manufacturers and importers selling through many stores.
Video Ads & Branded Video Content
Video inside the product’s category, or content produced with Skroutz’s creators. For products that need demonstration — appliances, toys, beauty — and for brands with an awareness budget.
Skroutz Feed Posts
Sponsored posts in the Skroutz feed, to an audience selected by interest. The platform’s most “social” format, for new lines and offers.
And the tools that are not advertising
Price Optimizer, Deals, Coins. They are not ads, but they decide whether the click you paid for becomes an order. We work them together — see Skroutz Growth →
Skroutz Ads for a store or for a brand — two different jobs
You care about Sponsored Products and how they combine with price, availability and delivery. The goal is a cost per order inside the margin and a share of the top positions in the categories that pay for you.
You do not sell — the stores carrying your products do. You care about Brand Page, Category Sponsorship, Video Ads and Brand Discovery: for the user to choose your product, whichever store they buy it from.

In some categories Skroutz is a very large part of the market; in others the customer never passes through it. We look at it in the intro call with your category’s data, before a euro is spent. The full guide: how to sell on Skroutz →
How we work Skroutz Ads
Which of your products are in which categories, in what position, at what price relative to the rest, and what the click costs in each category. From here comes where advertising is worth it and where it is not.
Hero products with margin, stock and a competitive price get a position. Products that lose on price are not advertised — however much someone wants to “push” them. The list changes with season and stock.
A different bid per category, based on the cost per order it can afford. Monitoring two or three times a week or daily, depending on the level — because on Skroutz the position changes within the day.
Every month: what each product cost and sold, how much came from ads and how much from tools, and how the cost per order compares with Google Shopping. Budget moves accordingly.
Ads and tools together
Why Skroutz Ads do not work on their own
The most common question we hear is “I paid for position, why did I not sell?”. Almost always the answer lies outside the advertising: price, delivery or availability. That is why we run the ads together with the tools that decide the user’s choice.
First position with the second-best price often loses to third position with the best. Price Optimizer keeps the price where it needs to be, Deals push specific products — both measured on margin, not on revenue. For Fitone, 86% of revenue came from these tools, not from the ads alone.
Delivery time shows next to the price. Products shipped through Skroutz and collected from lockers usually win when prices are equal. They are not marketing tools — they are delivery services that change the buyer’s decision.
The same customer compares on both. We measure cost per order on both channels the same way and move the budget to wherever returns better each month. Google Ads for online stores →

Frequently asked questions about Skroutz Ads
What are Skroutz Ads?
They are the paid advertising placements inside Skroutz: Sponsored Products (sponsored products at the top of a category), Category Sponsorship (category banner), Brand Page and Brand Discovery Ads for brands, Video Ads and Skroutz Feed Posts. They are for stores selling on Skroutz and for brands that want visibility inside the platform.
How much do Skroutz Ads cost?
Sponsored Products are charged per click, at a price shaped per category and by the competition for positions. Brand formats such as Category Sponsorship have their own pricing from Skroutz. The budget worth putting in comes from your products’ margin and the cost per order they can afford — we work it out together in the intro call.
If I already have a good price, do I need Skroutz Ads?
Not always. If you are already at the top of a category with the best price, advertising there may pay for clicks you would get anyway. Skroutz Ads are worth it when competition hides you, when you launch something new, or when you want share in a category where you are not first. That is why we choose products and categories, not the whole catalogue.
Can I run Skroutz Ads without an agency?
Yes, the Skroutz interface is simple and you can start in minutes. The hard part is not the button; it is which products to pick, what bid each category can afford, how they combine with Price Optimizer and Deals, and how you read the data month by month. That is where an account that “runs” differs from one that performs.
What is the difference between Skroutz Ads and Skroutz Growth?
Skroutz Ads are the advertising. Skroutz Growth is the full management of your presence on Skroutz: advertising, growth tools (Price Optimizer, Deals, Coins), delivery (Fulfilled by Skroutz, lockers) and data strategy together. In practice the ads rarely pay back without the tools, which is why most clients take the whole.
I am a brand and do not sell on Skroutz myself — what can I do?
You can advertise with Brand Page, Category Sponsorship, Brand Discovery Ads and Video Ads, so that the user chooses your product whichever store they buy it from. We measure category share and impressions, and coordinate with the stores that carry you on price and availability.
How do you measure the result from Skroutz Ads?
Per product: ad cost, orders and revenue that came from the position, and cost per order against the margin. We separate what came from ads and what from tools, and compare with Google Shopping, so the budget goes where it returns best.
Do the Skroutz account and data stay mine?
Yes. The merchant account on Skroutz is yours, with your own billing; the agency works inside it as a partner. The history, data and settings stay with you whenever the engagement ends.
